About VTraK
6 questionsVTraK is VFindR's flagship vehicle security device. It's a compact, credit card-sized unit installed covertly in your vehicle. Unlike standard GPS trackers, VTraK is backed by a 24/7 human response team and over 580 trained personnel across the UK — meaning when a theft is detected, real people respond, not just alerts.
Most GPS trackers give you a location — and leave you to do the rest. VTraK goes further: our 24/7 response team monitors your vehicle and, in the event of a confirmed theft, deploys trained personnel to assist recovery. You don't need to do anything. No app to open under stress, no call to make. The system acts on your behalf.
VTraK is credit card-sized — compact enough to be installed in a wide range of locations within your vehicle without any visible signs. Its small form factor is part of what makes it completely undetectable.
Yes. VTraK is IP67 rated, meaning it is fully protected against dust and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 metre for 30 minutes. It's built to perform in all UK weather conditions.
VTraK has a battery life of up to 2.5 years under normal usage conditions. This eliminates the need for regular maintenance or charging — once installed, it works continuously in the background.
VTraK is designed to protect a wide range of vehicles including cars, vans, motorcycles, and other assets. Contact our team to discuss your specific vehicle and we'll confirm suitability.
VTraK Nano
6 questionsVTraK Nano is VFindR's premium hardwired tracking device, designed for maximum reliability and advanced functionality. Unlike the wireless VTraK which runs on an internal battery, the Nano connects directly to your vehicle's 12V power supply — meaning it is always on, always connected, and never needs recharging. It also unlocks additional features including driver behaviour monitoring, speeding alerts, and comprehensive trip reporting that the wireless VTraK does not offer.
Yes. Because VTraK Nano connects directly to your vehicle's electrical system, it requires installation by a VFindR Approved Partner. This ensures the device is wired correctly, positioned covertly, and fully activated before leaving the workshop. Installation is quoted separately and carried out by qualified automotive professionals.
VTraK Nano includes the full VTraK feature set — real-time GPS tracking, 24/7 UK response team, geofence alerts, and the iOS & Android app — plus several additional capabilities: driver behaviour monitoring (harsh braking, cornering, acceleration), speeding alerts with configurable thresholds, detailed trip history and mileage reporting, and always-on tracking with no battery to manage. It's particularly well-suited to fleet operators, high-value vehicles, and anyone who wants the most comprehensive protection available.
Yes — VTraK Nano was built with fleet operators in mind. Its hardwired connection means zero maintenance across your fleet, and the driver behaviour and trip reporting features give fleet managers the visibility they need to manage vehicles and drivers effectively. Fleet pricing is available and discussed individually. Contact our team to discuss your requirements.
Yes. Any vehicle or piece of equipment with a 12V battery can run VTraK Nano — including vans, HGVs, plant machinery, agricultural equipment, and trailers. If you're unsure whether your vehicle or asset is compatible, get in touch and our team will confirm.
You can view VTraK Nano pricing and plans on the VTraK Nano product page, or purchase directly via the Nano buy page. Installation will be arranged through a VFindR Approved Partner once your order is confirmed. If you have questions before ordering, our team is happy to help — contact us here.
Coverage
1 questionNo — the VTraK device and service currently does not work in Northern Ireland or abroad. Our response network and tracking infrastructure operates within England, Scotland, and Wales only. If you are based in Northern Ireland or plan to use your vehicle outside of Great Britain, we would not be able to provide the full service at this time. We are working to extend coverage in the future and will update this page when that changes.
Installation
3 questionsVTraK is installed covertly — there are no visible signs of installation on your vehicle. Our team provides full guidance on installation at the time of purchase. The process is designed to be straightforward while ensuring the device remains completely hidden.
VTraK is designed to be installed without permanent modification to your vehicle. However, if you have concerns about your specific vehicle warranty, we recommend checking with your manufacturer or dealer. Our team is happy to discuss installation options with you.
VTraK is designed to be completely undetectable. Its covert installation and small form factor mean it cannot be located by thieves using standard scanning methods. This is one of the core design principles behind VTraK — a device that cannot be found cannot be disabled.
Response & Recovery
4 questionsWhen a theft is detected or reported, our 24/7 response team is activated immediately. They monitor your vehicle's location in real time and coordinate with our network of 580+ trained personnel to respond. Our team also works alongside UK law enforcement to maximise your chances of recovery — without you needing to manage the process yourself.
No user intervention is required during a theft event. Our system is built to respond automatically. You should report the theft to the police and provide your VFindR reference number — our team will handle coordination with law enforcement from there.
We cannot guarantee the recovery of any vehicle — no service can. What we do guarantee is that our team will respond immediately and use all reasonable efforts to assist. Our 24/7 response model and UK-wide personnel network significantly improve the chances of a fast, successful recovery compared to tracking-only solutions.
We have 580+ specially trained personnel positioned across the UK. They are strategically located to provide fast response coverage nationwide across England, Scotland, and Wales.
App & Access
2 questionsYes. VFindR works with both iOS and Android. The app allows you to view location updates and manage your account. However, the core protection service does not rely on you using the app — our team monitors and responds regardless of whether you are actively checking.
VFindR supports unlimited users on a single account. This means your whole family, your business team, or any authorised users can all have access — at no extra cost.
